It’s my first time, whats the go?

For your first session, please arrive 10 minutes early so your instructor can greet you, address any questions, and familiarise you with the equipment. Our classes are open level and you will be guided through your workout. All fitness levels are welcome.

If you would like to book a 1:1 or 1:2 before joining our group classes, this is also a great way to feel more comfortable and confident.

Do you have an introductory offer for first timers?

Want to try before you buy? Or check out our studio vibes to ensure we’re the perfect pair? Totally get it! We offer an intro pass for $69 which will give you access to any five classes over 14 days. You can purchase your Intro Pass here.

We suggest you attend 2 classes one week and 3 classes the next.

Can I pause my membership?

Going on holiday? We can pause your membership for you!
To place a pause on your membership please contact us at hello@hotelpilates.co.nz with the dates required. We are happy to pause your membership for no less than 1 week at a time and for up to 6 weeks of the year.

What do I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and bring a water bottle. Please ensure there are no zips on your tights. For safety and to protect our luxe ivory reformers so we do require our clients to wear grip socks.

We have these available to purchase in-studio, if you need. Our grippy socks are $25 and the brand is Move Active.

When to arrive?

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of class. This gives you enough time to check in with your instructor and settle in on your reformer. We run a tight schedule, please sneak in if you are a little late.

Note that we do not have any shelter from the weather outside, so if you arrive earlier than 10 minutes in advance you may be braving the elements or waiting in your car :)

Cancellation / No-show policy?

We have a 12 hour cancellation window in place. If you cancel before this, your class credit will be returned to your account. We get that life happens! So drop us a line if you have any issues.

As a small business, no-shows are unsustainable. So if you haven’t cancelled and fail to show up, unfortunately your class will not be credited and returned to your account.

If you know you can’t make it, please be sure to cancel your booking so that someone else can take your place.

The waitlist, how does it work?

If a class you’d like is full, you can sign up to the waitlist.

How it Works:

  • If a space opens up, you will automatically be added to the class – this can happen up to 3 hours before the start of class, so do be aware of the commitment.

  • You will receive an email and an SMS notification if you do make it off the waitlist.

  • We understand that timing might be tight if you are added from the waitlist and need to change your plans. So the usual cancellation window for waitlist bookings is also reduced to 3 hours before the class time.

  • Please be sure to cancel from the waitlist if you can no longer make it.

Im pregnant, can I still come to classes?

Firstly, congratulations!
If you have had clearance from your medical practitioner that it is safe for you to participate in group exercise classes then you can absolutely still come to classes. Our instructors will modify exercises for you where necessary and ensure you feel supported and encouraged throughout this exciting next chapter.

How many classes a week should I do?

If you’re new to pilates, we think two to three classes is a great start. Over time you can build up to come to four or more. Listen to you body and try a range of classes with different instructors.

PSA – it doesn’t take long to become hooked. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

As a male can I come to all classes?

Yes! Our classes are open to everyone. We offer Men’s only Classes as a way to help introduce our male clients into the exercise and ensure they feel comfortable and supported.
